This is a superb quality and very elegant antique English oak George II lowboy chest, circa 1740 – 1760. The lowboy is constructed of solid oak with four drawers the top having a large drawer with the original working lock and key. Below, there are two smaller drawers. The drawers are hand dovetailed and oak lined. The lowboy sits on four elegant cabriole legs. This lowboy has a superb colour / patination and is completely original apart from old replacement brass swan neck handles.
This item would look great in the living room, dining room or hallway of any large house. This item would compliment any home so don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

This item is commensurate with age and is ready to use and is completely original apart from very old replacement brass swan neck handles. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawer features the original working lock and key. The item is solid in joint and free of wood worm. Superb colour / patination.
