Here is a very good quality small antique George III English oak tilt top tripod table, circa 1780.
The top is constructed of three pieces of solid oak. The tilt top table features the original working hinge and brass locking mechanism, which locks the table into place when horizontal. The pedestal locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table features a well-shaped and very good quality turned pedestal stem, which terminates in lovely umbrella shaped legs and pad feet. This table is completely original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) without any breaks or damage and has fantastic colour / patination.
This item features a mid brown to dark oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
The table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room, dining room or hallway. The table would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
