Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Edwardian beech desk chair, circa 1910, incorporating a revolving mechanism, with a mahogany “saddle” shaped seat, which is in excellent original condition. The desk chair features a comfortable curved bar back, supported by an elegant vertical fan back and shaped supports. The seat is extremely comfortable to sit on, having a ‘saddle’ shaped seat. The Edwardian beech desk chair has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The Edwardian office chair incorporates a revolving mechanism which rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by either turning the chair clockwise or anti-clockwise, deepening on whether you wish to raise or lower the seat height. The seat chair angle does not tilt. The chair mechanism has been cleaned, restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The office chair sits on four sturdy cabriole shaped solid beech legs. The chair frame is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to sit on, as it features a lovely padded seat.
The Edwardian beech desk chair features a dark rich brown mahogany colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This Edwardian desk chair would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it is so comfortable. This office chair would certainly grace any home.

This is a fine quality antique English Edwardian beech desk chair, circa 1910, incorporating a revolving mechanism, with a mahogany “saddle” shaped seat, which is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The adjustable height mechanism is in good working order, having just been cleaned, restored and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The chair sits on four solid cabriole shaped solid mahogany legs. This Edwardian office chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
