Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian oak revolving office armchair, circa 1910, which has been newly upholstered in sage green leather, and is in good working condition. The armchair features a curved bar back, connected to wrap around arms, supported by an elegant splayed vertical fan back. The chair seat has been newly upholstered in top quality full grain sage green leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The chair sits on four splayed oak legs that terminate on solid brass castors. The chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The mechanism also features a reclining action, the tension of which can be adjusted by turning a small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair mechanism has been restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on as it features a lovely padded seat.
The armchair features a rich golden brown oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it is so comfortable. This item would certainly grace any home. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
